After School Program
The After School Program is for students K-12 and individuals who are in transition programs through age 21. In this program, participants will be able to experience crafts, sports, swimming, recreational play, and are provided a snack. Trained recreation therapists run this program with the assistance of activity technicians and typically developing volunteers.
Program details
- This program runs for 12 weeks in the spring and fall.
- Participants are able to attend two days a week signing up for either the Monday/Wednesday session or the Tuesday/Thursday session.
- Participants may begin arriving at 3:30 p.m. and pick up is at 5:30 p.m.
- Space in this program is limited and MMI does not provide transportation. OPS bussing will transport students from OPS schools to MMI for the after school program.
- There is a fee for this program and scholarships may be available.
Please note this program is not designed to serve individuals who have severe behavioral problems such as aggressive acts towards others, self-injurious behaviors and/or destruction of property (throwing and/or damaging furniture and equipment.)
