Cooking Club
Cooking club is a program for adults with developmental disabilities age 18 and older. Participants learn cooking skills and kitchen safety through preparation of a tasty, multi-part meal once a month. Participants will learn skills such as cutting vegetables, using stoves and ovens, measuring, mixing and more.
Participants will cook all different types of meals and cuisines and save their recipes in their own cookbook. Dietary restrictions are taken into consideration when necessary. Cooking club is led by a trained recreation therapist with the assistance of activity technicians.
