This new teacher workshop will help high school science teachers explore cancer biology topics and learn ways to integrate them into their existing curriculum. Focus will be placed on the 21st century learning skills of communication, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
UNMC scientists and science educators will lead the interactive activities.
This program is supported by the Youth Enjoy Science (YES) Research Education Program Grant R25CA221777 from the National Cancer Institute. The Munroe-Meyer Institute is offering this program in collaboration with the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases and of what now is known as the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
