In addition to our AOTA approved Pediatric Occupational Therapy Fellowship, the department of Occupational Therapy provides pre-service clinical training to graduate students from contracted professional programs in Nebraska and throughout the Midwest. We offer a school-based pediatric fieldwork experience for Level I and Level II students, as the majority of our staff provides educationally related services to verified students ages 3-21 in a large, metropolitan school district. Medical model learning opportunities are incorporated into each student’s experience according to availability. Level I students are paired with a different clinical instructor each day, and Level II students split their time with two clinical instructors with distinctly different caseloads. We make every effort to expose our students to the full range of services provided by our experienced and specialized staff of pediatric therapists.
