Dietary Health & Wellness
A Caring for Champions program
The Dietary Health and Wellness program at Munroe-Meyer Institute is committed to collaborating with individuals with disabilities and complex medical needs and their families to impact their health and wellness.
Health and wellness messaging and interventions historically have not included individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD). The Caring for Champions Dietary Health & Wellness program looks beyond its participants’ disabilities and provides evaluation, education and programing to help participants develop good health and wellness habits and achieve optimal well-being and quality of life.
An individual can be self-referred to the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute Caring for Champions Dietary Health & Wellness Program or referred by a physician or other health care professional, school district, social service agency or family member.
Appointments are scheduled through the Patient Information Office.
