The Nebraska Consortium For Citizens with Disabilities (NCCD) is a non-partisan, cross-disability coalition of organizations committed to working with the disability community to advance equal rights and disability-related public policies.
The Nebraska UCEDD program is one of the 15 member organizations. For the past two years, policy briefs have been created to bring awareness to the national six X '15 campaign signifying the 40th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and 25th Anniversary of the American with Disabilities Act in 2015. In addition, policy briefs have been disseminated each year to senators at the annual "Common Grounds" event.
2018 Policy Briefs include:
- Community Living
- Early Childhood
- Education
- Employment
- Health Care
- Managed Care
- Restraint and Seclusion
- Transition
