Translational mouse models of human disease are very important tools that serve as a bridge between basic research and clinical application. Over the last several years the field of humanized mice has matured and developed into an essential component of translational research. Humanized mice serve both as vehicles for discovery and as highly sophisticated platforms for biomedical research.
The Core will provide humanized mouse models to the researchers at UNMC and also at other institutions around the nation, in the form of collaborations.
For any pilot projects or for grant applications involving humanized mice, contact us for free consultations to discuss and develop the experimental plan. We will also help with the budget and preparing the subcontract for grant application
