Backup Freezer Program

Whether researchers have planned for an annual defrosting or experienced a freezer failure emergency, it is necessary to have another freezer where materials can be moved and stored until the impacted freezer is ready.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and the Eppley Institute have purchased several backup ultra-low freezers that are available for all UNMC researchers by using the backup freezer request/report form.

Freezers are available in most research buildings on the main campus. Use the listing below to determine which backups are located closest to your area. (updated June 2024)
