Parenting is hard enough under perfect circumstances: we worry about our kids’ health and emotional wellbeing, as well as their education, access to activities, and ability to make meaningful social connections. This is more difficult when we have a child with a complex medical need. Both my kids have long-term health concerns, so I know first-hand how lonely and frustrating it can be to feel uncertain how to provide the best for your child. I have learned much while navigating healthcare and education for my children, and I want to empower other families by helping locate resources as well as sharing what I’ve learned and supporting them on their journey.
