About the annual Garden Walk
The Munroe-Meyer Guild Garden Walk is a family-friendly, public event drawing more than 1,000 people touring local gardens. The annual tradition is always a big success and comments from visitors are overwhelmingly positive. We are tremendously grateful to the homeowners who share their gardens with us and the many volunteers who make this event possible.
Traditionally scheduled on the second Sunday in June, Garden Walk tickets typically go on sale in May. In advance of the event, tickets will be available for purchase at a few local stores and online. Tickets can always be purchased at any garden the day of the event.
This event raises around $30,000 annually with proceeds benefiting UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) where funds support services and programs for individuals with disabilities and complex health care needs.
The Munroe-Meyer Guild is a supporting board of the Munroe-Meyer Institute and a non-profit organization doing good for our community. The guild’s mission is to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities through fundraising for UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute.
