Mission

The Mission of the Hattie B. Munroe Foundation, in partnership with the Hattie B. Munroe Pavilion, is to support programs and services developed and administered by the Munroe-Meyer Institute that provide diagnosis, treatment and support services to children and youth with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families.

MMI Programs and Activities Funded

The Hattie B. Munroe Foundation supports multiple programs at the Institute including

  • Augmentative Communication
  • integrated Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (iCASD)
  • Virtual Reality Laboratory
  • Recreation therapy department and Camp Munroe
  • Endowed Chair for the Director of MMI
  • Endowed Chair for the Director of Research
  • Stipend for a psychology doctoral intern
  • Stipend for a recreational therapy intern
