Professional Summary
Elizabeth Banks, MS, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI). Elizabeth joined the team in December of 2023. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, NE. While in graduate school she completed her medical externship at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Omaha, NE. Prior to her start at UNMC, Elizabeth worked for the Papillion-La Vista School District, CHI Health Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, NE, and Pediatric Therapy Center in Papillion, NE. Her clinical interests include augmentative and alternative communication, cognitive intervention following traumatic brain injury, language intervention following stroke, dysphagia management, as well as communication in tracheostomized/ventilator dependent patients.
