Professional Summary
Abby Crimmins, MS, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist and clinical training coordinator in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI). Abby joined the team in October of 2020. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics at Iowa State University in Ames, IA and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, NE. Abby completed her graduate externship here at the UNMC. She then obtained professional clinical experience at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, IA prior to returning to UNMC to continue growing in her career. She specializes in evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in patients with head and neck cancer and/or laryngeal abnormalities, AAC with inpatient populations, and tracheostomy/vent-dependent patients. Abby is passionate about providing the best care for her patients, supporting staff and student training opportunities, and pursuing partnerships for research in her areas of interest and expertise.
