Professional Summary
Sandra L. Willett, PhD, serves as the Wayne A. Stuberg Director of Physical Therapy Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI). Dr. Willett is an Associate Professor, a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy (2001) and Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) faculty.
Passionate about both pediatric practice and clinical teaching, Sandy has extensive expertise in early motor development, and developmental assessment and intervention with infants (birth to three) in early intervention and NICU settings. Along with partners from Children’s, University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Physical Therapy (PT) Education, and UNO/UNL Engineering, Sandy started GoBabyGo! Nebraska!, a community outreach program that modifies ride-on cars for toddlers and young children with mobility delays. She coordinates Pediatric curricular content for UNMC College of Allied Health Professions Division of PT education, mentors MMI physical therapy residents, and constantly seeks new challenges.
