Professional Summary
Lynne Capoun is a Physical Therapist in the department of physical therapy at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute. Lynne earned her pediatric clinical specialist certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy (APTA) specialties in 2009. She has over 20 years of pediatric experience working with children from birth to age 21 in a variety of pediatric settings including the schools, early intervention, as outpatients and in a rehab facility. She has certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) and is trained in the perception-action approach.
Lynne has participated in section on pediatrics grant-funded research and has been a guest contributor to the pediatric physical therapy journal “Clinical Bottom Line”. She regularly serves as a clinical instructor. She also guest lectures and assists with labs in the UNMC physical therapy pediatrics course with content expertise in normal motor development, early intervention and spina bifida. Lynne enjoys the variety of opportunities for clinical service, teaching and research that come with employment at Munroe-Meyer Institute. She loves the privilege of helping children learn to move in new ways and helping their families be more confident in their care. Lynne is a mother of 4 and enjoys seeing the young adults her children are becoming.
