Professional Summary
Liz Konopasek is a Physical Therapist in the department of physical therapy at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute. Liz joined MMI in August of 2011 to provide school-based physical therapy in the Omaha Public Schools (OPS). Liz is particularly passionate about inclusive sports programs for children with disabilities. She helped create and continues to assist with running the OPS Fellowship Games, a unified sporting event for middle school students in the OPS special education program. She has volunteered for Special Olympics, Young Athletes, and Fun Fitness. She has worked with the OPS physical education department to provide strategies for developing their adaptive PE curriculum. Liz has a strong interest in adaptive equipment.
