Professional Summary

Alison DeLizza, PhD is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Psychologist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) Department of Psychology. She completed her PhD at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI and her doctoral internship at MMI.  

Clinically, DeLizza specializes in treating adolescents with anxiety and depression using behavioral interventions. Her approach is focused on helping young people thrive authentically and find connections in community. She has extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and utilizes this approach for a variety of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and stress management. DeLizza also specializes in applying contextual behavioral principles into systems and interventions to improve well-being for the health care workforce. 

DeLizza is the Associate Director of Workforce Access at the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska, a role in which she promotes initiatives that build access to behavioral health careers and providers across the state. DeLizza's research interests include improving the well-being of the health care workforce through systems level interventions and modifying behavioral treatments to meet the unique needs of adolescents.
