Elizabeth J. Preas, PhD, BCBA-D, LMHP is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in the integrated Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (iCASD). During her time at MMI, Dr. Preas was the Clinical Director of the Autism Care for Toddlers in Omaha North (ACTION) Clinic that provides early intensive behavioral intervention services to young children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
Dr. Preas received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Austin College under the research mentorship of Dr. Lisa Brown. She received her Masters of Science degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler, and she received a Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from UNMC under the supervision of Drs. Therese Mathews and Regina Carroll. Prior to moving to Omaha, Dr. Preas was the Regional ABA Clinical Director for Epic Developmental Services. While working at Epic, she established an early intensive behavioral intervention clinic-based program for children with autism in the North Texas Region and provided home-based services. Previously, Dr. Preas established two clinic-based programs for children with autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders in East Texas with non-profit organizations and served as the clinical director.
