Angela Cox, MGC, CGC is a licensed and certified genetic counselor specializing in prenatal care in the Department of Genetic Medicine at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute. Prior to receiving her graduate degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) genetic counseling program class of 2022, Angela attended Hope College in Holland, MI and received her Bachelor of Science in biology. Since beginning her career, she has grown her passion for educating patients, other healthcare professionals and students about the utility of genetic testing in the prenatal field. In her current role, Angela also serves as a clinical supervisor and guest lecturer for current genetic counseling students at UNMC and enjoys opportunities to give back to the program that provided the foundation for her professional career. In her free time, Angela enjoys traveling to visit friends and family, reading fiction novels and attending a variety of sporting events.
