Clinical Data Access

There are three ways to access data for research purposes in Epic/using Epic data (depending on data and IRB approval)

  1. Use of the EHR data access core from the VCR office (EHR Core)

  2. Use of CRANE, our curated, de-identified data set which contains annotated, encoded, structured Epic data that is extracted weekly (Contact CRANE Coordinator: Jerrod Anzalone)

  3. Slicer Dicer is a data exploration tool in the EPIC for group analysis.  Please submit an IT request through Service Now if you need access.
