Research Pricing

MRI/MRS Pricing
Costs of MRI/MRS system use is based on occupation of the MRI/MRS scanner suite with a trained technologist running the scans for your experiment. Costs are reviewed annually and set in cooperation with the offices of the Vice Chancellors of Research and Finance. Current price for MRI use is $160/hr for data acquisition and archiving. These rates are subsidized by the institution and are therefore only available to University of Nebraska clients. Prices include animal handling, set-up, anesthesia, and, if requested, animal transportation to and from animal facilities. Costs do not include the analysis of data, preparation of reports or manuscripts, or aid in interpretation of data acquired. Training in data analysis and access to our computers is available for data analysis. Arrangements for us to handle data analysis, including custom programming, can be made on a case by case basis.

External users' price is $300/hr. In addition, external users will be required to arrange animal preparation and housing at UNMC for live animal studies. All other costs are dependent on the nature of the project, as listed above.

SPECT/CT Pricing
SPECT/CT acquisition: $100/hr includes animal handling, animal anesthesia, data acquisition, and data archiving. These rates are subsidized by the institution and are therefore only available to University of Nebraska clients. Prices include animal handling, set-up, anesthesia, and, if requested, animal transportation to and from Wittson Hall. Costs do not include the analysis of data, preparation of reports or manuscripts, or aid in interpretation of data acquired. Training in data analysis and access to our computers is available for data analysis. Arrangements for us to handle data analysis, including custom programming, can be made on a case by case basis.
