Biography


Carman DeMare, DNP, APRN-NP, CPNP-AC/PC is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center with 30 years experience in pediatric nursing, including hematology/oncology, neonatal, pediatric and cardiovascular intensive care units with over 15 years’ experience as a pediatric cardiothoracic surgery PNP. Over the previous few years in addition to direct clinical care she has expanded her interest and experience into advanced practice leadership and graduate level PNP education.

Dr. DeMare obtained her BSN from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, MSN from University of Texas at Arlington, DNP and post graduate pediatric acute care from Creighton University. All graduate and post graduate education has focused on advanced care of the pediatric population.

In addition to a dedication providing quality care to acutely ill pediatric patients and educating future acute care PNPs, Dr. DeMare has special interests in system analysis and quality/process improvement and utilization of change management strategies to implement new policy and programs.
