Science Festival activities continue this week

A screening of "Inside Out" will be held at 8 p.m. tonight.

There’s still time for you to check out many of the Nebraska Science Festival’s activities.

This year’s festival, which runs through April 29, boasts more than 100 activities across the state, including the following on the UNMC campus:

Sustainability Expo
Today, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Lower Storz Pavilion
The Sustainability Expo features multiple representatives from community/environmental organizations. Want to set up a rain barrel? Interested in a personal consultation on how you could incorporate active commuting into your lifestyle? Ever wondered how they make biofuel from fryer grease? All these, and many more, will be available, along with free cookies, door prizes and more.

“Inside Out”
Today, 8:30 p.m.
Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza
Free screening of the Academy Award-nominated film “Inside Out.” Bring blankets, lawn chairs and non-alcoholic refreshments. From 7-8 p.m., visit with representatives from the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska and learn more about improving access to behavioral health care across the state of Nebraska. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be canceled.

EngAge Wellness Open House
Saturday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
730 S. 38th Ave.
UNMC’s EngAge Wellness is Omaha’s only medical fitness and whole-person wellness program for adults affiliated with a leading academic health science center. The center specializes in developing programs for people with chronic conditions.
