Dr. Thompson is a vascular surgeon who is interested in all aspects of vascular surgical and nonsurgical care. He specializes in complex open and endovascular aortic disease treatment, treatment of varicose veins, and pain reduction strategies during amputations. He strives to be a premier clinician to meet the vascular needs of our state and region.
He is currently the program director for the vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He has an interest in using advanced simulation to train the next generation of vascular surgeons. He also leads the education efforts within the vascular surgery division for the training of surgical residents and medical students.
