The UNMC Division of Surgical Oncology has the largest number of fellowship-trained surgical oncologists in the Midwest who are helping to train the next generation of surgeons. We have a robust program offering unique treatment options that are not available elsewhere.

Joshua M.V. Mammen, MD, Division Chief

Dr. Mammen attended medical school at Boston University. After a surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati, he completed a clinical fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He additionally was awarded a Ph.D. in molecular and cellular physiology from the University of Cincinnati.
