Dr. Fingeret is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is an endocrine surgeon who completed her residency training at the Columbia University Medical Center in New York, New York, and her fellowship in endocrine surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, and advanced robotic endocrine surgery fellowship training from Severance Hospital of Yonsei University Health System in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Fingeret also has advanced training in interventional thyroidology including ablative techniques for thyroid nodules with ethanol and radiofrequency ablation.
Dr. Fingeret is a high-volume expert in the surgical care of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disorders with excellent patient outcomes. She is an accomplished surgeon in minimally invasive techniques including remote access thyroidectomy and robotic adrenalectomy. She is the leading expert in ultrasound guided radiofrequency ablation of thyroid nodules in the region. She has expertise in the evaluation and management of multiple endocrine neoplasia disorders, pheochromocytoma, adrenocortical carcinoma, adrenal masses, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, Graves disease, toxic thyroid nodules, hyperparathyroidism, parathyroid adenoma, and parathyroid carcinoma.
Dr. Fingeret has research interests in quality of life after endocrine surgical procedures and patient outcomes. She serves as associate editor for the Journal of Surgical Research and serves on the editorial board for the Annals of Surgery and VideoEndocrinology. She is deeply committed to personalized and excellent care of her patients.
