The surgical scope and practice of an oral and maxillofacial surgeon continues to expand. Numerous treatments utilize the skill and training of an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, including some of the following:
- Cleft lip/palate surgery
- Corrective jaw surgery
- Extractions of teeth, dentoalveolar surgery
- Facial cosmetic surgery
- Facial trauma and reconstructive surgery
- Implant surgery
- Obstructive sleep apnea
- Oral, head and neck cancer and benign pathology
- Temporomandibular joint and facial pain
- Third molar extractions
- Trigeminal nerve repair
Our residents work alongside faculty who are board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and bring years of extensive training and experience to patient care.
Our faculty see patients through our primary clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine.
