Department of Surgery Wellness Program
The Wellness Program is designed to provide resources and activities to promote well-being for everyone in the Department of Surgery. The Department Wellness Program is broken into two committees and a Steering committee.

Within these committees, members propose ideas to present to the Department of Surgery Wellness Steering Committee and are categorized into three areas:
- Green light: Ideas that are easy to facilitate and receive approval for.
- Yellow light: Ideas that are more challenging to facilitate and receive approval for.
- Red light: Ideas that are most difficult to implement and facilitate, and approval will be more challenging.

- Confidential mental health screening
- Free telepsychiatry services
- For physicians across Nebraska
- Free support and coaching from other specially trained physicians
- Helps physicians deal with job stress, work/life balance, difficult life issues, etc.
