We are working to keep our department at the forefront of national changes in order to shape our approach to and management of patients who require surgical treatments.

Our department has been a trendsetter since it's inception in 1882, having played a major role in training surgical residents, educating medical students, generating new knowledge, and providing the highest quality of surgical care to Nebraska.

The department contains 11 divisions, as well as a central administration office.
