HEARTS

HEARTS (Helping Each other Adapt and Recover in Times of Sorrow) is an interdisciplinary team of faculty, staff, and students who are committed to building awareness of grief and offering supportive services for those who have experienced the death of an important person(s) in life.

Hope Bags

If a faculty or staff member is aware of a student dealing with a recent loss they can request a Hope Bag to give to the student. In the bag are various resources and items to help the student on their journey and let them know that UNMC cares. A HEARTS Champion will contact the student to arrange for the delivery of the bag within the next ten days. You will receive an email to acknowledge that the form has been received within two days.
