Programs and Organizations

UNMC Student Pride Alliance

The UNMC Student Pride Alliance is a campus-wide Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual and Ally (LGBTQIA+) education and support group. Student Pride Alliance fosters acceptance to create a more diverse and accepting environment. In addition, the alliance advocates on patient care issues and health disparities that disproportionately affect the LGBTQIA+ community. The group meets regularly throughout the year, and meetings are open to all students, faculty, and staff.

LGBTQ+ Employee Alliance

The UNMC & Nebraska Medicine LGBTQ+ Employee Alliance strives to promote an accepting and diverse culture across the enterprise. In addition to providing mentoring and peer support to LGBTQ+ community members at UNMC & Nebraska Medicine, our activities aim to promote the well-being of LGBTQ+ faculty, students, staff, and patients as well as to facilitate on-campus educational efforts regarding LGBTQ+ issues.

Membership to the group is open for all UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees. Whether you're a member of the LGBTQ+ community or one of our supporters, all are welcome!
