Rural Health 2030

Collaborating on a Rural Health Care Vision

UNMC partners with rural Nebraskans to accommodate and even embrace the disruptive changes that will continue to impact the state’s health workforce, patient care, health education, technology and research. In addition to pipeline programs for educating the health care workforce, training of first responders, and improving access to basic health care, we have worked with stakeholders and partners across the state to develop an action plan for the future.

This plan sets priorities for rural education and workforce preparation, rural health education and delivery models, the use of emerging technologies, rural health research, and maximizing UNMC’s organizational structure to guide such action. Read the UNMC Rural Health in 2030 Report.

Through new and forward thinking, hard work and strategic collaboration, UNMC and rural Nebraskans can together shape a new vision for a healthy rural future, beginning now.
