Positron Emission Tomography Scanner

This facility is here to bolster and expand the translational research imaging efforts of UNMC. The positron emission tomography instrument allows for live, non-invasive biodistribution studies using radiotracers for translational research.

Environmental Exposure Facility

This facility features three TE-10 systems capable of delivering tobacco or cannabis smoke for translational, environmental exposure studies. Operating under negative pressure with dedicated exhaust, it ensures operator safety while supporting studies with sham room air options. Researchers can utilize the facility for evaluating biologic markers like urinary cotinine and lung pathology, with expert consultation available.
