Lab Network Connectivity
Research Building Connections
Most UNMC research labs and offices have the option to connect over 1GB and 10GB connections depending on the location. Decent network connectivity is critical for core facilities, labs, and other facilities handling large data sets, variety of image data, and collaborative data exchange activities.

*Work-in-Progress: UNMC Information Technology Services continue to upgrade research labs network infrastructure. More labs will be added to upgrade list of Information Technology Services as the time is progressing.
Costs
Each connection port cost is $50 no matter if its 1GB or 10GB in research buildings. However, all research building labs and offices may not have cables installed on every floor to connect to network switches on that floor. In case, cables need to be pulled, cable pull cost $425 per port.
If you are looking for your lab/office network port upgrade, reach out to UNMC Information Technology Services Help Desk and open a service request ticket.
