Qateeb Khan, MD

Qateeb Khan, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the UNMC College of Medicine.

He received a bachelor's degree in biology with honors in the liberal arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He continued his education there and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He then completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he was awarded the prestigious Graduate Medical Education Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award as chief resident in his final year.

Dr. Khan is a radiation oncologist with a primary focus on central nervous system tumors, lung cancers, and tumors of the thoracic cavity. His clinical practice includes 3D and intensity modulated radiation therapy, stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Khan has published several book chapters including translational work in device discovery, prototyping and testing. He is the founder of ACROdeck and a contributor to several key educational resources in radiation oncology including RadOncCalc, RadOncQuestions, and ARROCases. Additionally, Dr. Khan is a pioneer in advancing resident education, creating an award-winning institutional didactic curriculum which he continues to expand on an international level.
