Andrew Fanning
Andy Fanning, MS, began his medical physics residency in 2024. Andy is originally from Hastings, Nebraska. After completing a master's degree in condensed matter physics at Brown University, he changed career paths and completed a master's in medical physics at Creighton University. While there, he completed a thesis on adaptive radiotherapy for head and neck cancer and investigated the effectiveness of different adaptive dose assessment frequencies.
Andy’s career interests include training the next generation of medical physicists, providing excellent patient care, and cultivating an inclusive and open work environment. In his free time, Andy enjoys going to concerts, playing Dungeons and Dragons, reading, and playing with his dog Winston.
