Meet Our Institute Team

Institute Director – Brandon Drozd, MA, MBA

Brandon Drozd has been the Director of the Great Plains Leadership Insitute since 2022. As director, he oversees the institute from presenting leadership workshops to individual coaching sessions with scholars.

He began his public health career as the Central Nebraska Area Health Education Center Director working on recruiting, retaining, and educating the rural healthcare workforce. Brandon enjoys challenging and supporting scholars in self-reflection and application of leadership concepts covered over the year.

Project Coordinator – Julia Quigley, MA

Julia Quigley started with the institute in 2021 when she came on to support the director as a project coordinator. During the year, Julia runs logistics and event planning for our virtual sessions and on-site intensives.

She began her public health career working for the Maryland Department of Health as a CDC Public Health Associate. Her favorite part of working with the Institute is meeting scholars from across the Midwest, hearing about what called them to public health, and learning about their leadership journey.
