Julia Quigley began her public health career working at the Maryland Department of Health Center for Injury and Violence Prevention as a member of the Rape and Sexual Assault Prevention Program. Stationed in Maryland as part of the CDC’s Public Health Associate Program, she worked with partners across the state managing CDC Block Grant funds and engaging in primary prevention initiatives.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was deployed as a tribal liaison and worked closely with tribal nations coordinating COVID response teams.
She later moved to Omaha to join the UNMC College of Public Health Office of Public Health Practice team as a project coordinator. In her current role, Quigley supports the Great Plains Leadership Institute as well as the Applied Practice Experience Master of Public Health course.
She has assisted in strategic planning for the college as well as partners across the state. She is pursuing a master's of public health degree at the college.
