Water, Climate and Health Program

The Water, Climate and Health Program explores the human health outcomes of water quality and contamination, climate change and extreme weather events.

Our growing team holds range of unique scientific expertise and research capabilities to address environmental health challenges.

Housed in the UNMC Department of Environmental, Agricultural and Occupational Health, the program brings together experts from UNMC, the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute at the University of Nebraska to address the most pressing public health issues related to water and climate around the globe.

Our extensive partnerships and collaborations include working with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services to support the development of the Nebraska Environmental Public Health Tracking Program—newly funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
