Keyonna M. King, DrPH, is an associate professor in the Department of Health Promotion of the UNMC College of Public Health. She also is director of the Community Engagement Core of the Great Plains IDeA-CTR.
Previously, Dr. King was a program evaluator in UNO's Support and Training for the Evaluation of Programs.
She was a senior research associate in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute/Community Engagement and Research Program of the University of California Los Angeles.

Professional Interests
- Applying the community-based participatory research (CBPR) approach in pragmatic, community-engaged research using community partnerships with a goal to develop culturally tailored interventions that address health disparities in underserved and hard to reach populations to produce replicable and long-lasting behavior changes.
- Understanding health disparities gaps by reviewing datasets or identifying and using evidence-based strategies to address health disparities.
