Hilary A. (Abbie) Raikes, PhD, joined UNMC in 2016 and is an associate professor in the Department of Health Promotion of the College of Public Health. She also serves as director of the UNMC Center for Global Health and Development.
Previously, Dr. Raikes served as lead for the Measuring Early Learning Quality & Outcomes project of UNICEF, and as a program specialist in Early Childhood Care and Education at UNESCO in Paris, France.
She also was a senior officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and a research associate at the University of California at Berkeley.
