Krista Brown, PhD, MBA, MPH, joined the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012, originally in the Buffett Cancer Center (formerly the Eppley Cancer Institute), and joined the College of Public Health in 2019.
Dr. Brown has worked closely with Nebraska organizations and health departments to provide training and support for public health activities, including preparedness planning, disaster training, and healthcare education. Since 2022, Dr. Brown has co-led a telementoring program that delivers wellness-based interventions and resources to reduce burnout and improve mental health for individuals working in rural and medically underserved areas across Nebraska.
Dr. Brown is a Nebraska native and is focused on research around cancer survivorship and quality of life, cancer epidemiology, mental health and burnout, and public health leadership.
