Community Engagement
The center seeks to engage communities in reducing health disparities, and the center is available to participate in and provide workshops, presentations and limited health screenings. Some topics include:
- Latino health disparities.
- Healthy lifestyles.
- Tobacco.
- Smoking cessation.
- Community advocacy and organizing.
- Positive self-esteem.
- African-American health disparities.
- Breast cancer.
- Prostate cancer.
- Diabetes.
- Mental health.
- Secondhand smoke.
The center has a conference room that is available for use by community organizations and groups for meetings, gatherings, and events. Please contact us to learn more.
Education

Translation of Research-Related Documents
The center can translate IRB documents and other materials into Spanish. Translation requests must include a copy of the translation services request form available below. Please fax the completed form to: 402-559-6493 or email Athena Ramos, PhD.
