Resources

The Center for Preparedness and Emergency Response Solutions conducts planning, training, and exercise services for public health and medical care providers and current health care and public health emergency managers.

If you have any questions about the center or you would like to set up one of our training courses, please email us

Exercises

Since conducting workshops, tabletops, drills, functional and full-scale exercises is a part of the healthcare and public health emergency managers' routine, the Center developed these exercises as templates for them to use.

It is important to note that these templates are not one size fits all for every facility when it comes to exercise scope, objectives, and expected actions. Please review and modify them to fit your needs.

Hospital First Receiver (Hospital Decontamination)

There are many instances where a hospital needs to decontaminate prior to admitting a patient. This two-day training provides health care facilities with the skills needed to provide a high level of care for their patients while maintaining worker safety.

Hospital Incident Command

When hospitals respond to internal and external crises, they follow the Incident Command System. The resources below are meant to help hospitals establish, maintain and operate an incident command system. Email us to schedule a training course.

The California Hospital Association and California Emergency Services Association joined forces to create planning and response guides. These guides aim to help health care and public health disaster planners identify the proper responses to 16 hazards.
