Nursing Homes
UNMC College of Public Health is collaborating with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the ECHO Institute at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center to lead a National Nursing Home COVID-19 Safety Program.
The purpose of this program is to rapidly assist 15,000 nursing homes in the United States in their development and implementation of evidence-based best practices to prevent COVID-19 from entering nursing homes. Additionally, this program also teaches how to prevent the spread of the virus if it enters a nursing home and how to provide care for patients or staff that test positive.
