Help your patients thrive and increase your career options by earning a DO/MPH dual degree from UNMC and a partner institution.
Why study Osteopathic Medicine and Public Health?
In partnership with UNMC, Kansas City University, Marian University, and NOORDA College of Oesteopathic Surgery offer their osteopathic medicine students the opportunity to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Public Health dual degree.
This offering addresses the need for future health care practitioners to possess knowledge of population and public health. In community settings, particularly small towns and urban neighborhoods, it is essential for health practitioners to understand community residents' public health needs. These may include racial, ethnic, economic, and social disparities in the population, understanding social networks and local environmental conditions.
Students in the DO/MPH program will gain advanced skills, preparing them to better respond to future pandemics and other infectious diseases.
