Residency

Residents in our program enjoy access to all pediatric subspecialties at a rapidly growing, state-of-the-art, freestanding children’s hospital. This allows for an expansive and high-quality education that prepares residents for successful careers across the entire spectrum of pediatrics.

Our faculty are recognized both nationally and internationally for their high-quality and innovative teaching methods and scholarly endeavors. The academic mission of our program is uniquely supported by two nationally recognized universities in Creighton University and the University of Nebraska. As a result, our residents have the opportunity to educate students from two separate medical schools. With such a strong academic foundation, our residents are uniquely positioned to pursue various educational, clinical, academic and research endeavors during their residency training and beyond. A growing number of UNMC pediatric fellowship training programs further provides a wide breadth of additional training and career opportunities.
