Sports Medicine
The Division of Sports Medicine at Children’s Nebraska is a regional program for the diagnosis and treatment of adolescents and teens of sports related injuries and concussions. Our academic mission is to equip other health care professions treating youth sports injuries, with the most up-to-date evidenced based information. We are a national resource for education, teaching, policy formation and implementation, all designed to support and enhance youth sports safety.
Here you will find a team of Sports Medicine Specialists providing comprehensive and state of the art care for conditions, such as:
- Sports and activity related concussions
- Fractures with specialized focus on open-growth plates
- Stress fractures
- Sprains/strains whether acute or chronic
- Overuse injuries
We utilize cutting edge approaches, including the use of diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, a safe and cost-effective diagnostic technique that does not expose our patients to more radiation.
