Children's Hospital

Approximately 90% of the clinical training takes place at Children’s Nebraska, with the remainder at the UNMC campus. Nearly all attending physicians at Children’s are faculty at UNMC. Children’s is a free-standing regional children’s hospital. The current hospital structure was built in 2000. In 2021, the opening of the Hubbard Center for Children area nearly doubled the square footage of the hospital. Children's currently has 225 total beds, including 26 PICU beds and 46 NICU beds. The specialty pediatric clinics are directly attached to the hospital. The Specialty Pediatrics Clinic structure was built in 2010. Children’s also features a four bed pediatric sleep lab, a cardiopulmonary stress lab and three endoscopy procedure suites.
