Clinical Schedule

Fellows will have clinical rotations at Nebraska Medicine and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center. They will spend a total of 12 months in the NICU with additional time in the PICU with ECMO exposure and developmental pediatrics. The rest of fellowship will be time to dedicate to their scholarly activity.

The University of Nebraska neonatology fellowship program will maintain complete compliance with the ACGME duty hour restrictions as instituted July 1, 2017. The fellows will always make the call schedules in compliance with duty hour restrictions, approved by the program director. The program director will monitor duty hours logged by fellows on New Innovations and inquire about any duty hour violations, seeking appropriate justifications and/or intervening to prevent future duty hour violations.
